On behalf of all the members of the conference organising committee, welcome to Hong Kong for the 6th Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Occupational Health and Safety Educators (ANZAOHSE).
We had a dream at the 5th ANZAOHSE conference in Auckland to extend the Association's horizon to the Asian Pacific Region and also to kick-start the effort by holding the Association's 6th Annual Conference in Hong Kong. This is a dream come true. It is indeed heartening to see so many delegates and from so many countries participating in this international event. A total of 36 papers have been accepted for oral presentation over the next two and a half days of the conference. We are confident that the papers will generate enormous interest in the subject areas and provide ample opportunities for experience sharing amongst conference delegates.
We hope you do like the CD-ROM format of the proceedings. We are doing our part to be environmentally friendly.
On behalf of ANZAOHSE, we want to thank the sponsor organisations of the conference. Without their tremendous support, this event would not have been possible. A big thank you should also go to members of the organising committee and their administrative support staff. Their untiring efforts have made the task of organising the event simple and manageable. Finally we would like to thank you for your support as a conference delegate. We hope you will find the scientific programmes beneficial and the social events enjoyable.
As this is the first time the ANZAOHSE conference is held outside Australia and New Zealand, please make an extra effort to establish and/or strengthen networking relationships. particularly with delegates from another country. This is our Association and our conference. It is up to us to make the event an outstanding success!
