Training Course for Confined Space Operation

 

This training course is designed for engineers, safety officers and supervisory staffs engaged in Confined Spaces Operations.

 

Course Duration:  12 hours

 

Course Objectives:

 

On completion of the course, the participants will be able to:

  • understand his/her duty of care and the relevant legislation requirements;
  • be aware of the common potential hazards;
  • develop a thorough understanding of the concepts, principles, methods and techniques of risk assessment, atmospheric testing and rescue operation;
  • acquire knowledge from the course and be able to apply it to his/her job, for example, formulating the safe system of work and applying the work permit system.

Course Outline

 

Outline of the programme:

  • Overview of legislative provisions

  • Potential hazards, causes of accidents in Confined Spaces and their prevention

  • Permit to work system in connection with working inside Confined Spaces

  • Risk Assessment in connection with working inside Confined Spaces

  • Standard Operating Procedures of entering Confined Spaces

  • Emergency responses

  • Hands-on practical training

Course Fee: HK$1,200 per person

 

Certificate

 

A "Certificate of Attainment in Confined Space Operation" will be issued to participants who have successfully completed the training.
