Publications System is the Industrial Centre content management system dedicated to online collaboration of intellectual properties publication. The purposes are to manage the knowledge works of a variety of disciplines and to demonstrate strengths of the Industrial Centre.

The whole idea of the Publications System is to organise the contents in such a way that both contributors and readers will benefit and empower.

The advantages of using a content management system instead of static Web pages are:

• IC staff can share administration work (collaboration)
• Intellectual properties publication, storage, and management can be centralised

The system aims to improve customer service/value, provide competitive advantages and improve search and retrieval of publications.

The Publication System has evolved to become knowledge portal that supports users positive feedback, readers review, citation reference, and links.

IC Authors Contribution

As IC authors, you want to contribute or manage your own publication contents online, your name must be registered in the Publications System AND you must already have a NT Server account available at room W306. Types of IC Publications

Four types of publications (Papers, Books, Patents and Powerpoint) are published. Papers, books and patents document will be uploaded either in Microsoft doc or Adobe pdf format while Powerpoint will be either in Microsoft ppt format or Adobe pdf format. Other formats are currently not supported.

Data Fields for Enter

Papers, books, patents and powerpoints require different data fields for enter, IC authors should refer to the following table when preparing contributions.
