IC 3005 - Database and Spreadsheets

This module provides a comprehensive coverage for general office tools. It complements theoretical learning by providing hand-on practices through problem solving project assignments:

  • Create documents
  • Create presentations
  • Create spreadsheets
  • Create and manage database
  • Schedule process and product planning
  • Convert materials for web publication

On completion of the module, students should be able to:

  • Apply WORD in daily data-processing and reporting.
  • Apply Powerpoint in project presentation
  • Apply ACCESS in simple database creation, data sorting and retrieval and reporting
  • Set up EXCEL spreadsheets and apply simple spreadsheets in applications such as business and scientific calculations, charts and graphs plotting and reporting.
  • Interface the software with other desktop publishing software.
