IC receives HK$3.6M software donation

IC has recently received a generous software donation from CivilConnect Limited worth of HK$3.6 million. The donation includes a total of 50 sets of license of S-FRAME SOFTWARE (including S-FRAME, S-STEEL and S-Concrete) and enhancement and support service provided to IC for a period of three years. The software donation aims at promoting good practices, innovative and reliable solution in structural engineering analysis and design to students and staff.  Computer programs included the software are pre-accepted computer programs under Practice Note for Authorized Person and Registered Structural Engineer No. 79. 3D printing equipment consigned by 3D Systems

Another great support from our industrial partners to enhance our learning environment! 3D Systems Corporation has kindly consigned 3 latest 3D printers to the IC and a Memorandum of Understanding between the two parties was signed at a ceremony held on yesterday (Wednesday, 26 October) by Mr Michele Marchensan, Vice President & General Manager, 3D Personal and Professional Printers, 3D Systems Corporation and Dr Stephen O’Brien, Director of Industrial Centre. 3D printing has become a popular manufacturing technology and is largely applied in many fields.
